1. Place slices of fish in baking dish. We used Merluza which is a white fish. Merluza is a popular fish to fry, bake, or grill in Chile.
2. Sprinkle oregano, salt, and pepper on fish.
3. Add slices of ham on top. In our case, we just used the thin deli slices of ham that we typically eat during our once.
4. Add slices of white cheese on top of the ham. Mama said it was Parmesan, but it may have been something else.
5. Pour white wine sauce all over so that the fish, ham, and cheese are all covered and soaked in the sauce.
Recipe for sauce:
Mix white wine (we used Sauvignon Blanc) with milk cream from a can. Stir until you have a thin syrup texture.
6. Bake around 210C until cheese is melted.
7. ENJOY!
