Home Visits

We checked out 2 homes today that were rather close to the municipalidad. Prior to this we already felt like Monica, our regional director through the English Opens Doors program, had not read most of our applications for our preferences and allergies. We were heesitant about the 1st home (the lady was a very good cook, but the house appeared dark/vry quiet with her having to take care of her daughter with disabilities who was around her 50s). Monica appeared a little upset with us. We then took the initiative to go check out the 2nd home that Monica had approved and loved the adorable grandmother and her sweet daughter. Even though they are older, their home was well heated, fairly clean, and felt inviting. It is also walking distance to one of the schools that I might teach at. The daughter was also the supervisor of a small special education school.

The 4 of us will have to figure out who will live there as Hugo and Monica say they are running out of time and it seems that we would prefer to live in Los Andes, but they had not been looking there.
